The Judges

We would like to thank Claire Sharples, Tracey Bell, and Tim Lince for giving up their free time to come and judge our competition. The judges were thrown in at the deep for the show and were extremely professional in their approach to the task. More information about our judges is listed below.


Judge #1: Claire Sharples

Claire Sharples has dancing in her feet and has been dancing since the age of 2 and a half. She has danced most styles of dance including ballet, tap,disco,freestyle,latin, ballroom and rock'n roll. She majors in ballet, tap and disco.

Claire dances professionally in productions both in the UK and Ireland. She is a qualified dance teacher from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance and now teaches with the Garstang School of Dance where she teaches tap and ballet.

Claire is also a choreographer and has recently been offering her services choreographing wedding first dances.



Judge #2: Tracey Bell

Managing Director Tracey Bell founded Scream in 1998 and now the company is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. The inspiration of Scream stemmed from Tracey’s firsthand experience of the lack of opportunities for talented youngsters in Lancashire.

Tracey’s background in radio, media and performance provided her with invaluable inside knowledge and contacts which she utilized to establish Scream as a main player in the entertainment industry. Tracey has also written numerous television formats resulting in her very own series on CITV which was aired worldwide. She has also worked as associate producer on a number of popular children’s TV shows.

Tracey’s hard work and determination has paid off as her kids and adults can now be seen performing in major TV series, feature films, commercials and the Disney Channel.

Scream now has a very busy office in the new TV Hub, Media City in Manchester, which is concentrating on Scream Management’s Kids Division and Extras Division . Its sister company “Red Door” operates from London concentrating on Adult actors.

Judge #3: Tim Lince

Timothy James Lince B.A.(Hons) is the founder and artistic director of the Lancashire based theatre company Pendle Productions. He has produced, directed and is a comissioned script and musical writer/director for the BBC as well as other Companies. International work includes artistic director of the Manitou Arts Centre (Toronto, Canada). He also spent three years working and presenting with Richard Hammond (now of Top Gear Fame) on BBC Radio.

Over the last 24 years Pendle Productions has toured a number of musicals, plays, pantomimes, and theatre productions all over the UK and in Canada and last year produced over 800 live performances. Mr Lince's credited work includes the world premier of the musical 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang', 'James and the Giant Peach', 'Girls Talk' and 'The Ubiquitous Diary Of Mrs Jean Nobody'.

Mr Lince sorts through thousands of auditions every year for musicians, dancers, singers, actors and models, so we are delighted to have him onboard to help decide our winners
