About UCLAN's Got Talent

The Team

UCLAN's Got Talent is a university-wide talent competition for the University for Central Lancashire. The competition and event is run by a team of 3rd year media & web students as part of their final year work.

The Competition

Anyone with a UCLAN email has been able to enter this competition, allowing students and staff to compete alongside each other for the crown of UCLAN's Most Talented.

Auditions

The audition process has been conducted online, with auditionees uploading their videos to Youtube. We have also filmed auditions ourselfs at our Audition Pod (see right) in the Students Union, where the people of UCLAN have been able to come and have their audition filmed for them.

Voting

Voting was via text message, and as the Final was a public event, anyone could have vote for who they would like to see in the final. We had an incredible total of 948 votes!

The Talent

There was a variety of talent in the competition and a number of reasons why people have been joining in. Winning the compeition could be the break unrecognised talent needs to get themselves notice and go ontowards and upwards. Some entered the competition to get some exposure around the university and promote themselves, and some did it just done it for the fun! We welcomed them all to the competition and we were very pleased with the range of acts that had entered!
