All of our finalists are now up on the UNI's Got Talent website!

You can go online and vote for which of our finalists you want to represent UCLAN in the UK National Finals to be held in london. The person you vote to fly the flag for UCLAN will compete against the winners from other universities around the country to be crowned the winner of UNI's Got Talent, win a large cash prize, and win an exclusive PR/Marketing deal.

UCLAN's Got Talent: The Final!

Review: Lancashire Evening Post

FRISBOY WINS!

Frisboy's Winning Performance

It was unanimous. With 31% of the votes from our huge Audience and scores of 9, 8 and 7 from our judges, Frisboy was voted the winner of UCLAN's Got Talent! John Coxhead aka Frisboy, a Film Production & Screenwriting student, walks away from our competition £600 better off with the highly sought-after crown of being UCLAN's favourite talent.

Second & Third

Second and Third place were incredibly close, but in second place was Gary Hanks who walks away with £300! Clare Stokes was very unlucky to miss out on second place (by a total of 0.14%!) so the £100 third place prize goes to Clare.

Mission Accomplished!

We had a number of goals we wanted to achieve with this competition. Along with giving members of the university a chance to get on stage and perform, we also wanted to expose our univeristy's talent to those people that can help open doors to working in the industry which makes use of the talent they have. We are pleased to say that the show was successful in achieving this, with a number of our finalists approached by scouts and industry professionals! We wish all our finalists the best of luck from here on!

Thank-yous

First of all we would like to say a huge thank you to our other finalists Ali, Aubrey, Chris, Ignition, Jenny, Jessica and Pockets. They were all great sports and extremely professional throughout the competition. We are glad they all enjoyed the chance to perform on stage and although not all of the judges comments will be agreed with, we hope they can take something away from the night to help them progress on their way to achieving their dreams.

Thanks to Dan Nightingale. A true professional and a man whom without - the show would not have not been the slick and smooth running it was.

We would also like to give a HUGE thank you to the Technical Team at 53 Degrees. They worked extremely hard over long hours to help us get the show ready and were very efficient in sorting out the microphone problems we had. Also a thankyou to the team upstairs at 53 for putting helping us set up this event over the last few months, and thank you to the Security and Bar Teams who were fantastic all night.

Thank you to UNI's Got Talent, and the student film crews for their co-operation throughout the evening to ensure our live audience got the best view possible of our final, together with some great footage of the show (coming soon).

Thankyou to our sponsors, printWORKstudio for supporting us from the start of it all back in November - Their printing for our posters, flyers and exhibition stands were extremely quick and of a high quality enabling us to get the word out there within days of finalising our designs.

And finally thank you to all who came to our event, especially the sections of the audience supporting each of the finalists with banners and t-shirts etc. Alot of time must have been put into them and your support was fantastic. We sold out the venue and then some with 500+ people in our audience and we're confident we will win Uni's Got Talent's mini competition for best audience!
